Mr. Depew's Class
December
In science class, we participated in the Beakerhead Challenge. This design-thinking challenge allowed to our class to think together and work together using a secret item. After we had brainstormed around the topic of 3018, we found out that we would be working with masking tape to bring out ideas together. Students focused on three areas: cities, transportation and water. Together, we had a great time uncovering each other’s imagination and ingenuity! Students were clever, hard-working and original in their designs.

In art, our class learned about the different elements used in paintings such as, texture, shape, colour, line, form, and space. Together we studied Jackson Pollock art pieces and then re-created our own, applying what we had learned about the elements he used.
